Connie Shaughnessy

Needlework

Connie Shaughnessy has always loved knitting, crocheting and sewing. Her mother sent her to a friend to learn how to knit when she was eleven years old. A couple years later she took sewing lessons from the Singer Sewing company. These lessons launched her into a wonderful pastime that she continues to enjoy today. Her creations include wedding and bridesmaids dresses, coats, suits, and clothing. She's done all types of alterations, hand knit Christmas stockings, fisherman knit and Scandinavian style sweaters, and crocheted mermaid and shark blankets. Along with her pieces offered in Expressions, She does custom work for people with specific requests. Recently she finished a sweater a customer was unable to complete and a bag for the back of a wheelchair.
