Ronald Aakjar

In some form or fashion Ron Aakjar has worked with plants for over 30 years. His full time job is a Biology lab instructor at Bridgewater State University and his partner and he have lived in Plympton for the past 5 years. He wanted to find a way to take his passion of plants and create some form of artwork. He began his artwork journey by pressing and drying plants and creating collages of the dried materials. It was at a nature preserve summer festival that he was introduced to Nature Printing and fell in love with the technique. He wants people to walk away from his artwork with a feeling that they wanted to get out into nature and look for the intricate details and fascinating patterns that come through in his work.
